Franklin County History Fair
The Eighth Annual Franklin County History Fair is held in
November of each year on a Sunday afternoon at East Central College in the Regional Training
Center (one-story building off to left) from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to
participate in the 2009 History Fair is asked to contact Sue Blesi at
573-927-2772.
The event features state and local historical societies, as well as artists and authors, whose
works reflect something about Franklin County.
Local History Class
A local history course is offered at East Central College
in March and April of each year. A variety of presenters are scheduled to
tell different aspects of Franklin County history. An attempt is made to
keep the course fresh by offering as much new material as possible each
spring. The 2009 classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. in the
Regional Training Center (one-story building off to left). Coordinator is Sue
Blesi. To enroll, contact Sharon Witte at 636-583-5193, ext. 2410.
