Where Can I Find Birth Records for Franklin County, MO?
 | Missouri
Death Certificates Record center maintained by the Missouri
Secretary of State.
|
 | Missouri
Birth Records Pre-1910 Record center maintained by the Missouri
Secretary of State
|
 | NOTE: The Franklin County Clerk DOES NOT HAVE Death
Certificates. They will refer you to the State Dept of
Vital Records, phone 573-751-6370. There you will be asked to send a $10
payment to have a search done, but a word to the wise is that I don't
believe they have much from before 1910-11 because of a fire in their
building about that time. I know this is frustrating, but they can't produce
what they don't have.

 | Other possible sources are church records and newspaper
microfilm (for announcements)

The St. Clair Historical Society
has almost 400 birth records for babies born in Central Township between
1917 and 1924. Dr. Kitchell was the township registrar and these are the
records he kept. This includes all babies born in the township, irregardless
of which doctor delivered them. Several of the babies were even delivered by
Dr. Stierberger of Union. Watch this site for a possible update on this
information.

Where Can I Find Death Records for Franklin County,
MO?
Birth and Death Records microfilmed and maintained by the Office of
Secretary of State. Note: The archived records at this site use Acrobat
Reader and load extremely
slow. Be patient. The Franklin County Clerk does not have death
certificates. The only death records they have is this microfilmed
information (in the archives).
Obituaries are on file at the various
historical societies and many are posted on the
New Boards. Franklin County
microfilmed newspapers contain many, many obituaries if you have
access to them. |

Other County Records
