Elementary and High School Building
The Gerald High School Faculty for the Fall of 1927
consisted of one person, School Superintendent Fred Jones. 1927 was to be
his first year at the Gerald School. He had previously taught at the Strain
School.
Gerald was the only third class high school in Franklin
County, offering two years of high school work. The school building was a
brick structure, described as furnishing "ample room for the entire school."
The equipment included a library and laboratory. A low-pressure steam
heating system had been installed.
ew Haven school boasted a fully accredited first class
high school as early as 1903.
